May 1 marks just five months until the Pikes Peak regions’ 5th annual Arts Month celebration!
Orchestrated annually by the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region, our local Arts Month initiative coincides with National Arts & Humanities Month, which was established in 1985 and is observed every October throughout the United States. Over the past two decades, it has become the nationโs largest collective annual celebration of the arts.
Locally, our Arts Month initiative takes the form of a coordinated marketing campaign in print, radio, television, billboards, bus shelters, email, social media, etc. that is designed to raise awareness for the areaโs creative community and showcase the many exciting arts & cultural events taking place across the Pikes Peak region during the month of October.
How will your organization participate this year? Now is the time to plan. We make it easy to plug in to the excitement with our Arts Month Toolkit.
We organize our promotions into theme weeks. This year’s theme week calendar is:
SAVE THE DATE: We always kickoff Arts Month with a free community party called the Artini! The 2018 Artini will held on Friday, September 28th from 5:30-8:30PM at The Mining Exchange โ weโll be taking over all of the hotelโs banquet rooms as well as the adjacent Gold Room!
