PeakRadar.com is the Cultural Office’s signature audience development program. The site, a comprehensive arts, culture community events calendar, is a vital tool for increasing cultural participation. Since its launch in June 2007, PeakRadar.com has brought awareness of a vast array of arts activities to residents and visitors and it continues to grow. In 2015, the site engaged over 180,000 unique users, and had more than 675,000 page views. Today, PeakRadar.com is home to over 4,000 event listings every year, as well as over 400 cultural organization listings, and more than 350 artist profiles. In April 2016, the website was relaunched with a variety of upgrades including improved speed, a beautiful new design that is responsive to any device, new social media and interactive functions, the addition of a Free Events category, and much more! Please follow this link for a tour of site upgrades.
Listing your community event, cultural organization, performance venue, or artist profile is free and easy, and can be done directly from the PeakRadar.com website. If you need assistance using the site, please contact Jonathan Toman (our Peak Radar Manager), or call him on our help-line at 719-634-5155.
Recently established partnerships with community organizations like the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, the Pikes Peak Library District, the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region, School District 11, School District 14, School District 2, and others, also help to drive new audiences to the website, and to provide exciting opportunities for collaboration and cross-promotion. PeakRadar.com also partners with the Colorado Springs Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, the Colorado Springs Downtown Partnership, Pikes Peak Country Attractions, and Springs Magazine, to provide event information for their online calendars. This widget capability greatly expands Peak Radar’s reach, and has the potential to be incorporated into almost any website. Please contact Angela Seals to request pricing and additional information about incorporating our widget into your website.
Paid display advertising on PeakRadar.com is also powerful way of getting your message in front of thousands of our region’s culturally-engaged residents and visitors each week. To learn more about advertising options, please follow this link. For questions, or to request more detailed information about paid advertising, please contact Angela Seals via email, or call her at 719-634-2204.
Finally, Peak Radar’s audience development program also includes a weekly Peak Radar Picks e-blasts, which highlights eight to ten upcoming community events each week on Wednesday. Please click here if you’d like to start receiving the Peak Radar Picks email every week. We also have a great Guest Curator program that enables a different community member to help make selections for our weekly e-blast. Anyone is welcome to be a Guest Curator, and you are more than welcome to promote your own events. To find out more about being a Guest Curator for a future Peak Radar Picks email, please contact Jonathan Toman.
