Three Cheers for the Regional Business Alliance!

On Monday, May 20, the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance invited Peak Arts Fund to visit their weekly staff meeting with an Arts Break and presentation about how to get involved with this spring’s campaign. The Arts Break was an elegant Bach violin solo performed by Jacob Klock, concert master violinist of Chamber Orchestra of the Springs.

Christina McGrath, Executive Director of COPPeR, introduced the work of COPPeR in connecting residents to arts and culture and strengthening the creative industries in the Pikes Peak region. Angela Seals, Development Officer of COPPeR, shared about this year’s Peak Arts Fund campaign and its proven strategy to grow arts audiences and revenue for arts nonprofits. As a surprise gift, a generous donor provided all Regional Business Alliance staff with Peak Radar Passes, normally received with a minimum $60 donation. The Pass’s diverse discounts to theater, dance, concerts, and galleries will make it easy for staff to enjoy the arts all year and cultivate their ability to speak knowledgeably about the arts to their local and national contacts.

Through lively conversation, the group explored ways that the Regional Business Alliance and COPPeR can continue to work together to leverage the arts toward recruitment and retention of innovative companies and workers. This partnership enriches the economic and cultural life of the Pikes Peak region. Thank you, Regional Business Alliance, for your inspiring work and leadership!
