The Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPR) is the local arts agency for the City of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region (El Paso and Teller Counties) in Colorado.  The Cultural Office works year-round, often behind the scenes, to achieve more than any one artist or cultural organization could do independently to ensure that the creative sector thrives and uplifts our entire region’s life and economy. “How Do You See God?" is an exhibition that asks our artists to share their thoughts and beliefs through unique works of art. It is open to all faiths and beliefs, as well as all media, all ages, and 2D or 3D works. And we create a unique tabletop book of all the images! This is the 14th year of the exhibition and will be our 13th edition of the book.

Two Artist Receptions:

Parking Lot Party

Enjoy the beautiful artwork in the gallery, browse the artist booths and other vendors, dance with DJ and keyboardist Gabe From The Future, and indulge in some yummy BBQ from Taste Bud Rescue Food Truck.

Book Signing Reception

Come meet the artists and, just like a yearbook signing, sign the page with your art in everyone’s books! Each year, we photograph all the art that is included in the exhibit and create a book with the artists and images. The books will be available for sale during this event and hopefully a few weeks before!

Every Monday night for 9 weeks we'll be holding our family-friendly concerts again and we'll be playing a variety of tunes each night that all ages will enjoy.

Our concerts are held in the pavilion in Soda Springs Park in Manitou Springs. Provided seating is limited, so please bring your own lawn chair to ensure you have a comfortable seat.

Each night, we auction off the conductor's baton. One lucky winner will be able to direct the band playing a Sousa march--no conductiong skills required! (Don't worry, we make everyone look good! Or you can award your win to a "stuckee," a lucky family member or friend you send up to the podium on your behalf.) The proceeds from the auction help us pay for our expenses, such as new music, insurance and rental fees.*

Concerts are  free and open to the public; this is not a ticketed event.

Nightly Themes:

  • June 17: Tunes You Didn't Know You Knew
  • June 24: Heroes and Villains

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a hot-button topic in the contemporary art world, with many artists and curators celebrating new forms of tool-use and collaboration, and many more fearing the loss of authenticity in the arts, not to mention job opportunities. We asked the AI text generator Gemini to suggest an art prompt that proves the need and value of the human artist in our culture.

Here's what it wrote: Create a piece of art that explores the physical manifestation of emotion. Instead of depicting a person experiencing an emotion, focus on conveying the feeling itself through visual elements.

We welcome everyone to take a load off in the shade of the Soda Springs Park pavilion and participate in free creative activity. For those who are hungry, we have a healthy and hearty soup available.

  • July 1: Happy Birthday, America
  • July 8: Colorful Colorado
  • July 15: Pops Concert

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a hot-button topic in the contemporary art world, with many artists and curators celebrating new forms of tool-use and collaboration, and many more fearing the loss of authenticity in the arts, not to mention job opportunities. We asked the AI text generator Gemini to suggest an art prompt that proves the need and value of the human artist in our culture.

Here's what it wrote: Create a piece of art that explores the physical manifestation of emotion. Instead of depicting a person experiencing an emotion, focus on conveying the feeling itself through visual elements.

All ages and abilities are invited to make pottery and write poems.

We have potting wheels set up with instructors so you can learn to “throw” a pot. We have a kiln so you can glaze and fire your creation, too.

Writing mentors are on hand to sit down with you to work on writing poems. Each week will have a theme and writing prompts to get you started. All materials are provided. You can do all the activities or pick just one or two.

We welcome everyone to take a load off in the shade of the Soda Springs Park pavilion and participate in free creative activity. For those who are hungry, we have a healthy and hearty soup available.

Participants tell us, “I wish you guys did this all year.” “Thank you. I had a great time this afternoon.”  “You made me feel better.”
