From the Artist: Impulse is the heartbeat of my creativity, a visceral reaction to inspiration that drives me to draw and paint. My work is born from a deep emotional connection to self-discovery and expression. Through colorful abstract forms, l translate my feelings, energy, and the boundless expanse of the universe into visual narratives.
I am captivated by the beauty of human connection, reflected in my exploration of hand gestures and American Sign Language, which carry an inherent power and grace. These pieces resonate with the rhythm of communication and expression.
Inspired by the stories and masterpieces of renowned artists, I find joy in re-imagining their influence into something uniquely my own-a tribute to their legacy and a testament to the impulse that fuels my artistic journey.

He primarily works in traditional two dimensional mediums, such as charcoal and oil paint. His work has impressionistic qualities, characterized by thick paint and earnestly expressive marks.
With a playful approach to lighting and a bold color palette often influenced by pop and cartoon art, Year in Review is a collection of portraiture, animals, and unique depictions of well loved characters and tropes of popular culture.

A Peopleโs History of the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center
Dec. 6, 2024โSpring 2025
A Peopleโs History of the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Centerย invites the community to act as co-creators of this installation telling the Fine Arts Centerโs story. From the 1919 founding of its precursor, the Broadmoor Art Academy, through its 1936 visionary origin as the nationโs first major multi-arts center housing a museum, performing arts, and an art school under one roof, to the present and into the future, the Fine Arts Center has been cherished by the community and is central to the cultural identity of Colorado Springs.
As part of the process of creating new exhibitions from the permanent collection, this installation welcomes stories and insights from the Colorado Springs community to help unearth lesser-known aspects of the Fine Arts Centerโs complex history. Opening with a basic timeline to serve as a framework, this installation incorporates selected events, artworks, and printed ephemera which act as landmarks, highlighting past inflection points. Visitors can participate in the creation of the installation through written notes and discussion with curator Pat Musick, who will be at work in the gallery at scheduled times, adding viewersโ contributions to the timeline. The stories, themes, and insights emerging from this interactive process will serve to further inform the historical segment of the permanent collection reinstallation.
