First Friday Shuttle Bus

First Friday Shuttle Bus

The First Friday Shuttle Bus ceased operations in 2020 and is not expected to return as a Cultural Office program. Please refer to the Avenue Creative Circuit for current programming connecting the three Creative Districts along Colorado Ave. during First Friday.

First Friday Art Walks in Downtown Colorado Springs (January-December), Old Colorado City (April-December), and Manitou Springs (January-December) are free community events that take place from 5-8PM on the first Friday of the month.ย  Each First Friday Art Walk features gallery openings, artist demonstrations, live performances, shopping and dining, and much more! Taken together, the three concurrent Art Walks comprise a “Creative Circuit” along Colorado Avenue and Manitou Avenue. Bring your family and friends, and create your own First Friday experience!

To help make your First Friday experience more convenient and enjoyable, the Cultural Office and our program partners are pleased to provide free shuttle bus service from April thru October. Two buses make a continuous loop between Downtown Colorado Springs and Old Colorado City, and a third bus makes a continuous loop between Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. The stop in Old Colorado City is a transfer point. The shuttle buses are handicapped accessible, and local artists and performers are along for the ride as “hosts” in each bus to entertain you, guide you, and share stories and interesting facts about our community. The free shuttle bus service is intended to serve local residents as well as visitors to the Pikes Peak region. Maps, stop locations, and time schedules for both shuttle bus routes are available at www.PeakRadar.com/FirstFriday.i
